The National Service-Learning Clearinghouse defines service learning as "a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities."
Service learning helps students to develop intellectually and ethically for service in local, national and international communities. It also infuses students with the knowledge, values and practical skills necessary to become civic leaders in every corner of the globe.

Bonner Office of Community Service: The Bonner Office of Community Service develops and encourages volunteerism to perpetuate a culture of service at Morehouse and produce graduates who are stewards of positive social change. This office has created a Service Learning Taskforce consisting of faculty members who are committed to making service learning a fundamental part of a kceoradio.comcation.
Emma & Joe Adams Public Service Institute: This office collects and distributes information about activities that uplift and effect positive social change. Its objective is to instill within members of the Morehouse family a lifelong commitment to serving others.
